about Alavi Foundation
Since the year 2005-6, Alavi Foundation has been designated as the empowerment arm for the deprived by the Mostazafan Foundation of the Islamic Revolution and is responsible for implementing this important task. On October 29, 2023, fourteen key directives were issued by the Office of the Supreme Leader to the Mostazafan Foundation. The following directives, in particular, pertain to the mission of the Alavi Foundation:
Considering empowerment of the deprived as the main mission of the Mostazafan Foundation and avoiding becoming a charity providing occasional and unsustainable aid
Developing a comprehensive model for the revitalization and progress of deprived areas, inspired by the Qaleh-Ganj experience, by building on its strengths and addressing its potential shortcomings
Safeguarding the assets and properties of the foundation and avoiding granting occasional aids to various requests received through different channels;
Based on this decree and the general policies of the Resistance Economy, and in line with defining the framework for the empowerment of the deprived, the Head of the Mostazafan Foundation has notified the Alavi Foundation of the directive titled “A Strategic Vision for the Alavi Foundation with a Transformational Approach.” According to this, the most important goal of Alavi Foundation is “development and progress of deprived rural areas, empowerment of weak social groups, and playing a role in enhancing social and economic justice within the foundation’s mission areas.”
In order to achieve this goal, the communicated document sets three core missions for Alavi Foundation as follows:
Development and enhancement of public health with emphasis on preventive measures, addressing critical bottlenecks, ensuring impactful and strategic participation in health initiatives, and implementing new health technologies
- Promotion of educational equity with focus on the student population and the provision of special opportunities for gifted individuals.
Economic progress of deprived areas and rural villages based on job creation and sustainable income

Development and progress of deprived and rural areas, empowerment of marginalized social groups, and playing a role in promoting social and economic justice within the foundation’s mission areas.
